Mating Flights

Flight Rules

Flight Board - Flight Form

  • Your dragon must be an adult before you apply. I encourage Dark Moon hatches dragons to fly and chase here. :) Cannonly, a females first flight is 2 years old so time-jumping from another time to come back and clutch is perfectly fine.

  • I will be accepting anything as long as there is a slim possibility of rares coming from that clutch. Golds are allowed to clutch here though they will only be having a max of 15 eggs (this is an Interval, after all). Greens may clutch if they haven't chewed firestone or were given a fertility drug which allowes them to have a small clutch (less then 8 eggs only). As most greens are fighting dragons, I assume most would want to chew firestone anyway. There is always the fertility drug which was left over by the FGPC.

  • The owner of the female will decide the winner and write the flight story if they choose. I will not be writting flight stories. If you send in a gold and write a flight story, there is a higher possibility of a gold. A clutching story is optinal. If you don't write one I wont. Both stories will be kept in the records. The owner is also able to choose the number of eggs though not what hatches from them. I may allow you to suggest results before the hatching, however.

  • To keep clutch sizes resonable, and based on how much effort the female's owner puts into the flight, below is a chart to determine what size the clutch can be. A small clutch has no stories; an average clutch is one story (the flight); and a high clutch is two stories (a flight and clutching story). Gold eggs are available if the stories are 'good enough', meaning you put some effort into them and they're not sloppy. Gold eggs are also only available if the genetics allow for a gold.

    Clutch Sizes
    Color Small Average Large
    gold 12-13 14-18 19-20
    bronze 10-11 14-18 17-18
    brown 8-9 10-14 15-16
    blue 6-7 8-12 13-14
    green 4-5 6-10 11-12
    sport 2-3 4-8 9-10

  • If you send in a male to chase, a story blurp may highten your chance of winning. If you're dragon dosn't win, don't whine to me. I didn't choose the winner (unless it was one of my dragons, obviously. :P)

  • Your male is not allowed to chase if he sired a clutch on the sands or that will be on the sands. You will have to wait. Females must wait at least three clutches before clutching again. A male can only sign up for one clutch at a time (the Senior Queen's flight scratches this rule but not the pervious one).

  • Only Pernese dragons are allowed here. Where your dragon came from dosn't matter though I prefer ones that have at least a sire/dam to trace as lineage. I keep track of those to watch inbreeding as best I can. If you sumbit a dragon who has two Alskyrian parents, they are Alskyrian.

  • At anytime you may ask me to put up anyone of my dragons to clutch. Likewise, the owner of a female is allowed to ask me to sign up one of my riders. When you write the Flight story (if you do), keep in mind every male dragon in the Weyr who thinks he can win your female will chase, my NPC's included. If you want to choose someone not on the list, you better give me a good reason but it's your choice. Don't pick the rares just because they're pretty. There DNA may not yeild a clutch as pretty as them. :P (I've rigged them not to. Heh)

  • When writting a flight story, you must include the names of the males that were signed up. You are not limited to them, however, if you want to add some 'drama' to the flight but you can only choose the winner from those seven dragons. No exceptions.
